Beloved ‘Full House’ star Dave Coulier has announced he is cancer-free after undergoing treatment for aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma.,Coulier shared the positive update, expressing gratitude for his support system and urging others to prioritize early health screenings.Dave Coulier publicly revealed his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November 2024 during an episode of the “Full House Rewind” podcast. He explained at the time that doctors had identified the lymphoma as aggressive and requiring immediate treatment. “My doctors called and they said, ‘We wish we had better news for you. You have non-Hodgkin lymphoma, the most aggressive kind. It’s called B-cell,’” Coulier recalled on the podcast. “I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming.”
In April 2025, Coulier announced that he is officially cancer-free. He confirmed the news to “Good Morning America” through his representative, expressing his gratitude for the support received during his treatment. “I’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to family, friends, and fans for their continued prayers, love, and support throughout my emotional roller coaster ride through cancer,” Coulier stated. He also emphasized the importance of early detection through screenings and check-ups.
Following the public announcement of his recovery, Coulier reflected on the crucial role his support system played during his health battle. He shared with Parade magazine that his wife, Melissa, was a constant presence. “We’ve been a team,” Coulier said. “I think it would have been a totally different journey had she not been with me.”
His “Full House” co-stars also provided significant support. John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, and Candace Cameron Bure maintained regular contact to check on him and boost his morale. “We’re a family,” Coulier told ABC. “We get these text strings, and it’s always funny, and that keeps us connected.” He mentioned that Stamos FaceTimed him “like every day.” Bure celebrated his recovery on Instagram, posting a message that read, “DAVE IS CANCER FREE!!!! Join me in celebrating this AMAZING news — let’s shower him with all the love in the world!” Stamos also shared a video after Coulier privately informed him of the health news, telling People, “I’m overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. He fought like hell with strength and heart.”
With his treatment concluded, Coulier is now focusing on new ventures. He is reportedly working on a line of “all natural and sustainable clothing, foods and personal hygiene products” scheduled for release later this year. Coulier is also leveraging his personal experience to encourage others to be proactive about their health. “I will continue to encourage others to check in with doctors to get early screenings like breast exams, colonoscopies, and prostate exams,” he told ABC.
