Cameron Diaz, 53, famous for films like ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘There’s Something About Mary’, ‘The Holiday’, and ‘Shrek’, is making her comeback in the Netflix film.
The streaming platform has released a short summary: “Let the chaos begin: Cameron Diaz will star in Bad Day, an action comedy about a single mom fighting to keep one little promise to her daughter on the absolute worst day of her life.”
Details about the “little promise” are being kept secret. The cast list has been announced, confirming that Ben Schwartz, 44, will appear in ‘Bad Day’, according to the Express.
Schwartz played Jean-Ralphio Saperstein in ‘Parks and Recreation’ from season two through series seven. He has also appeared in shows such as ‘The Afterparty’, ‘Die Hart’, ‘Staged’, and ‘Space Force’. His IMDb page indicates he is also scheduled to star in the upcoming action-comedy ‘Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice’ with Vince Vaughn and James Marsden.
Other celebrities joining Diaz and O’Neill in the film include Sam Richardson from ‘Ted Lasso’, Ed O’Neill from ‘Modern Family’, Danielle Brooks from ‘Orange Is The New Black’, and Mark Duplass from ‘The Morning Show’.
Production has begun in New Jersey, but the official release date is not yet known.
‘Bad Day’ is a reunion project for Diaz and producer Beau Bauman, who previously worked together on the film ‘Back In Action’ with Jamie Foxx. ‘Back In Action’ reached the sixth spot on Netflix’s Most Popular list after a seven-week run on the streaming platform’s Global Top 10 Movies list in English.
‘Bad Day’ will be streaming exclusively on Netflix.
